What is a YouTube Channel

Every user who registers for an account on YouTube also has a personal channel. You can make many YouTube channels, and this one serves as that user's home page.

The channel displays the account name, personal description, public movies submitted by the member, and user information entered by the member after the information has been entered and approved by the user. If you have a YouTube account, you can alter your personal channel's background, colour scheme, and some of the data that is shown there.

On YouTube, many types of businesses can also create channels. Due to the possibility of several owners or managers, these channels could be different from personal channels. A YouTube user with a brand account can launch a new business channel.

How To Access the YouTube Channel

Your YouTube channel is associated to your YouTube account. So it can be accessed easily:

• go to YouTube.com and click Sign in button on the top right corner on the screen
• Select your profile or the account icon in the top right corner
• Click on YouTube Studio and go to your channel's dashboard
• On YouTube Studio, you can edit your account any time you want

How to Configure Basic Channel Customization

There are numerous methods to tweak and customise your YouTube channel with YouTube Studio after it has been created. You choose your channel description and other details when you create your YouTube channel. You can always modify and personalise your channel with ease. You must do the following actions in order to alter your channel's video playlist, channel description, or homepage:

• Click Customization on the left of the screen
• Click the Upload button to add a brief video clip so that viewers who are not channel subscribers can see it under the Layout tab and the Video highlight area.
• To add the video you want to show to returning channel subscribers, click the Add button beneath the Featured Content area.
• Clicking the Add Section button under the Featured Content section will allow you to change the look of your YouTube channel's homepage.
• Popular Uploads, Previous Livestreams, Upcoming Livestreams, and other areas are among the ten sections you can create.
• For further customization, go to Branding tab
• Under the Profile Picture, select a picture for your channel and upload it
• Go to Banner Image section, select the image you like and set it as the banner image of your channel
• If you want to add a watermark to your video, head towards Video Watermark Section and select a watermark of your choice for you video. This watermark will be visible at the right corner of the video
• Go to Channel Info Section if you want to change the name or description of your channel. Click Edit Channel Name and set a Name for your channel and then add description
• If you want to add translation of your channel description in a specific language, go to Add Language section. Select the language you want to translate your description in.
• In the Links section, click the Add Links and add links of the websites that your subscribers may like
• Add your email address in Contact Info section so that your subscribers or other people who have common interests as yours can contact you

How to Organize the Videos

Videos can be accessed at any moment after they have been uploaded in order to modify their description or any other adjustments.

• On the dashboard, select Videos from the left menu
• In the Upload section, you will see all the uploaded videos
• Check the box in front of the video you want to edit and then select Edit from the top menu
• Select any category to edit Video titles, tags, discussions, description, visibility and others
• Select Add Playlist to add a video to any playlist
• To download or delete the vidoe, click More Actions
• Click the Details button with pen icon in front of the video if you want to edit the description of a video
• Create a title, description, and thumbnail to manage the video's details. Or create a target audience by including it in a playlist.
• Mouse over the video and pick and hold Options to reorder the videos in your list (three dots). Place the video in the list by clicking and dragging it there.
• To modify the video's title and description, obtain a shareable link, download, or delete the file, select Options.

Customize your channel by changing the settings

Easily change your channel settings or add new. Let's have a look at some of the basic settings of the channel

• Select Settings from the menu on the left
• Go to the Basic Info page after choosing the Channel option, choose the country you are in, and add the relevant basic keywords to your channel.
• Select OK under Advance Setting to make your channel appear appropriate for kids. Or, by all means, test your content to ensure that it is suitable for kids as well.
• By scrolling down, you can link a Google account, choose to eliminate interest-based advertising, and stop words from appearing in automatically created captions .
• Select Featured Eligibility to learn more about the features the channel can provide

How to Watch the YouTube Channels?

A YouTube channel, like other social media platforms, showcases a user's individual presence. To access a member's private channel, click on their name. You may view every video a member has uploaded as well as their favorite media. They can also share the channels they enjoy.

You can use YouTube as a platform to search for popular channels, view them, and subscribe to them. You may easily choose any channel to watch from a list of your subscribed channels whenever you visit YouTube to watch your favorite channels.
